Kisuke Urahara introduced himself as the owner of the Urahara Shop and promises to do his best to preview the next episode. As he begins to detail the origin of his store, Ichigo demands to know what he is talking about and reminds him that they do not have much time for this preview.
The fifth season of the Bleach anime series is named the Bount Assault on Soul Society arc (バウント尸魂界強襲篇, Baunto Sōru Sosaeti Kyōshū Hen). In the English adaptation of the anime released by Viz Media, the title of the season is translated as The Assault.[1] The episodes are directed by Noriyuki Abe, and produced by TV Tokyo, Dentsu and Studio Pierrot.[2] Like the previous season, it does not adapt from Tite Kubo's Bleach manga series. Instead, it features an original, self-contained filler story arc focusing on the invasion of the Soul Society, the home of the Soul Reapers, by the Bount, a race of humans that consume human souls to extend their lives.[3]
The season aired from August 8, 2006, to January 4, 2007, on TV Tokyo. It lasted eighteen episodes. The English adaptation of the season began airing on December 13, 2008 on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim in the United States, and ended on April 11, 2009.[4][5] Four DVD compilations of the season were released by Aniplex between January 24 and April 25, 2007.[6][7] The first two DVD compilations contain four episodes of the season, and the last two contain five episodes.[8] Viz Media released this season in four DVD volumes from December 15, 2009 to March 23, 2010.[9][10] A DVD box set of the season was released on June 8, 2010.[11] Manga Entertainment released the season in two DVDs for the United Kingdom on August 30 and November 1, 2010,[12][13] while a box set was released on December 20, 2010.[14]
The episodes use four pieces of theme music: two opening themes and two ending themes. The opening theme for the first six episodes is \"Tonight, Tonight, Tonight\" by Beat Crusaders;[15] the rest of the episodes use \"Rolling Star\" by Yui.[16] The ending themes are Takacha's \"Movin!!\", used for the first six episodes,[15] and \"Baby It's You\" by JUNE, used for the remainder of the episodes.[16] The opening and ending themes for episodes 106 to 109 use footage from the Bleach feature film, Bleach: Memories of Nobody, to promote the film, which was released on December 16, 2006.[17]
The following contains spoilers for Episode 5 of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War \"Wrath as a Lightning,\" now streaming on Hulu & Disney+.On November 7th, 2022 at 11:30 am EDT, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War streamed the fifth episode of the series, Wrath as a Lightning. The war continues to rage on with the Sternritters easily annihilating the Squad Captains and Lieutenants of the Soul Reapers. Without their Bankai, the Soul Reapers remain at a disadvantage.
As a quick recap, episode 4 of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War ends with Sternritter J's unexpected attack on Urahara, Inoue, and Chad, where the audience is left in the dark about whether these three will die or not. Due to Sternritter J's mysterious ability, Ichigo Kurosaki is trapped in an inescapable prison in the Garganta.
The episode starts out inside the Shinigami Research and Development Institute. An announcement is made to all Soul Society members stating that Ichigo is on the way to Soul Society to help fight against the Sternritters. All the Squad Members are told that Ichigo is the only one whose Bankai can't be stolen. The current vice president, Akon, continues to track Ichigo's Spiritual Pressure but loses the signal in the Garganta. He sends members of the department to wait at the gate between Hueco Mundo and Soul Society, but Ichigo doesn't arrive.
Continuing where the last episode left off, Sternritter J is set on a course to exterminate Urahara, Inoue, and Chad. Before he can unleash the fatal strike, Sternritter J is defeated by a mysterious figure. While this figure is not shown, Urahara seems to recognize them.
Ichigo Kurosaki, the main character of the series, is trapped for the entire episode in Quilge Opie's ability, The Jail, which is a Reishi construct that traps its target in an undetectable zone. Ichigo unleashes his Bankai, Getsuga Tenshō, without any luck to escape. Later in the episode, however, there seems to be a glimpse of hope. After sensing the defeat of Captain Byakuya, Renji, and Rukia, his body releases streams of green light. The audience will have to, unfortunately, wait until future episodes to find out what this ability is and if it can help him escape.
Sternritter O, The Overkill, is the Sternritter responsible for slaughtering Lieutenant Sasakibe in an earlier episode. He's shown to be prideful and arrogant revealing his special ability without a care in the world. Apparently, with every person that he kills, he grows stronger and stronger. Having killed 100 Soul Reapers during the first attack and killing an additional 100 Soul Reapers in this attack, he's actively gloating about his strength.
In the middle of the episode, a flashback sequence reveals the history between Head Captain Yamamoto and Lieutenant Sasakibe. In his youth, Lieutenant Sasakibe sought out Head Captain Yamamoto in order to become his right-hand man. Not wanting to copy him, Lieutenant Sasakibe refuses to study under him as a student. Taking Head Captain Yamamoto's words to heart, however, he trains and unlocks his Bankai, Kōkō Gonryō Rikyū.
A significant detail that is mentioned by several Squad Captains and Lieutenants is Head Captain Yamamoto's anger. Not only does his Spiritual Pressure lift the spirits of all Soul Reapers in Soul Society, but it also reveals part of his personality. As mentioned by one of the Soul Reapers, even when he fought on the frontline, it didn't evoke this much emotion. These scenes are as scary as they are exciting, as the battle between Yhwach and Head Captain Yamamoto is heavily alluded to and will reach its climax in the episodes to come.
At the end of the episode, the poem that appears on the screen is, \"The heart burns. Even though the rain falls.\" Along with this poem comes the next episode's title, The Fire, which is set to air on November 14th, 2022 at 11:30 am EDT. Faithful fans of the Bleach: Thousand-Year War series will have to wait at the edge of their seat to see the epic fight in the next episode.
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War episode 5, titled Wrath as a Lightning, saw Ichigo struggling to get out of Quilge Opie's jail when he started hearing the voices of everyone at Soul Society. This tormented him because he couldn't help them, but he kept trying to get out. Meanwhile, in Hueco Mundo, an unnamed character kills Quilge Opie, helping Urahara, Orihime, Sado, Nelliel, Pesche, and Dondochakka.
The episode shows a young Sasakibe approaching a younger Yamamoto, who was previously known as Eijisai Yamamoto because of a scar on his head. Sasakibe aspired to be his right-hand man and had already gotten his Bankai, which he was eager to show him. Yamamoto received a second scar while the Bankai was still new, prompting the Head Captain to rename him Yamamoto Genryusai.
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War episode 5 saw Yamamoto Genryusai enter the battle as he was set to face Yhwach again after 1000 years. His power within the Gotei 13 is unparalleled, and he is currently the Soul Society's only hope until Ichigo escapes Quilge Opie's prison. The next episode may focus primarily on the battle between Yhwach and Yamamoto Genryusai, but other battles within the Seireitei may also be featured.
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is proving just how important it is in the overall series as the Wandenreich is wasting little time in striking a major blow to Soul Society. With many captains finding themselves sans-Bankai as a result of the Sternritter's ability to swipe said power, new details have emerged regarding the next episode which will most certainly continue raising the stakes for Ichigo, Soul Society, and those foolish enough to get in the villains' way.
Bleach's large cast of characters has been represented well enough in the earliest episodes of the Thousand Year Blood War Arc, with episode four taking the opportunity to revisit some familiar Soul Reapers, but much to the heroes' detriment. With the top captains of Soul Society discovering that the Sternritter have the ability to steal Bankais, a major advantage has been lost for the Shinigami in this fight that could prove to be their last. While Ichigo Kurosaki seemingly had the ability to dodge the Wandenreich's ability to steal Bankais, his defeated opponent unleashed a surprise attack that trapped the substitute Soul Reaper in a dimensional pocket that only allows him to watch from a distance as the Soul Society remains under siege.
The fifth episode title for Bleach's new season has been revealed as \"Wrath as a Lightning\", which might hint at the terrifying strength of the Wandenreich, as the Quincy renegades have already taken more than a few Bankais in their primary assault on Soul Society.
Though Bankais have been stolen in record time over these past few episodes, this doesn't mean that the Soul Society is still out of the game entirely, even with Ichigo now trapped in a pocket dimension. Luckily, a major brawler on the Soul Reapers' side just so happens to not rely on a Bankai for his battles, as Kenpachi hasn't been focused on much in this new season, though we would expect that he'll be a pivotal part in fighting back against the Sternritter.
Mix a possessed parakeet and ridiculous feats of strength with a vicious monster and you should get your standard fun action episode, right But this spotlight on Chad and Rukia turns into something a little more poignant before it ends.
Last episode, Chad showed superhuman strength and an ability to take insane damage when a steel girder fell on him. That was no fluke as he rips out a telephone pole to swat the now flying Hollow! Just what is he 59ce067264
